Mind and Body: Young People’s Perspectives on Mental Health and Adolescent Self-Harm Margate’s Turner Contemporary is hosting a pop-up exhibition of artwork by young people on 26-28 August. For one weekend only the gallery will host drawings, paintings, photography and mixed media pieces by young people who have struggled with self-harm or thoughts of harming themselves. Turner Contemporary will host a preview night on Friday 25 August and the exhibition will be open to the public across the weekend of 26-27 August. Tickets to the preview night are free, but you’ll need to book to attend. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a chance to meet some of the artists. All artworks are by young people who have attended the Mind and Body programme, which supports young people across Kent, Cornwall and Lancashire. The programme is organised by national mental health, drug and alcohol treatment charity Addaction.
