Healthy Teens Presents another Transformation Tuesday event “Creating your 6 Word Stories”

You are invited to join the Healthy Teens Community Care Center (HTC3) in collaboration with Love Detroit Prevention Coalition for a free Transformation Tuesday event. Transformation Tuesdays are free classes, workshops and events designed to support Detroit teens aged 12-21 in transforming their lives, their families and their communities. This event will involve a presentation followed by an interactive conversation about teen awareness on these issues. Underage drinking, non-medical use of prescription drugs and marijuana use.                                                                               About Healthy Teens Community Care Center Healthy Teens Community Care Center provides specialized medical services to individuals 12-21 years of age. HTC3 is committed to providing high quality healthcare to adolescent patients that recognizes their medical, social and emotional healthcare needs. Services provided at HTC3 include reproductive health, family planning, health education services, and mental health screenings and referrals.                                                   About Love Detroit Prevention Coalition Through advocacy, education, and collaboration with partners, youth and the community, the initiative seeks to create a culture that reduces underage drinking and nonmedical use of prescription drugs and marijuana use among youth aged 12 to 20 and young adults aged 20 to 25.     Grenaé D. Dudley, President and CEO, The Youth Connection and Chairperson of the Love Detroit Prevention Coalition.  A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Dudley is well versed in the issues related to youth surrounding after-school programs – the reduction of youth violence, substance abuse and early sexual activity – and brings invaluable experience and insight to its mission. Dr. Dudley has designed, developed and implemented numerous programs that address the needs of children and their families and has served as a professional advocate of children's welfare for more than 20 years.  Dr. Dudley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University.   Please RSVP by Friday, April 22, 2016 to reserve your seat. This is a FREE event.
